I’m not really a fan of structured parties or events of any kind. They remind me to much of work.

As for the plot I totally agree although I’m pretty sure that Aesop didn’t write his stories while waiting for the mall to open because he had to buy a Birthday gift. So, he probably had more free time to develop his plot lines,ha,ha..

I like spontaneous, just-because parties best. On the continuum of party species,I would have to say I like birthday parties least. Too much pressure on everyone to have fun; to chose the right gift; to make the appropriate expressions of joy and gratitude for the gifts; too many gifts; planning the party to give the guests enough of a good time; the whole aging thing…Also, I’m sorry but I didn’t think much of the mice taking the bus as a clever plot device. Aesop would have come up with something more ingenious. But the “no eating or drinking” sign thing was pretty good.

I tried blogging for money before. I failed. Now, like you, I blog for myself. To vent or talk about happy things or things that piss me off or whatever. I don’t really give a crap that I only have 5 readers. That’s less comments I have to reply to, lol.

This is exactly why I turn down all offers of companies wanting to place a link on my blog in exchange for money. I don’t want to feel obligated to post. I keep telling myself I should do only 3 posts a week because no one has time to read any more than that, but I always think of other stuff to write about. So, I’ll keep doing it until I run out of stuff. But I find the more I write, the more I think of, so it’s good practice for me. Once I joined one of those NaBloPoMo things where you have to post every day for a month. I did it, but it made me quit blogging for 4 months.

When I started blogging back in 2004 on my first blog, I blogged for me. Then something happened, I began to get followers, and comments, and more followers.

I started worrying about writing the wrong thing, offending people, blah, blah, blah.

Then after a few years, I went back and forth, sometimes I would blog, sometimes not, then the sometimes stretched into months. I wasn’t satisfied anymore.

Why? Because I wasn’t blogging for me anymore.

Now I am back to blogging for me, and looking at it that the few followers I have enhance my blog, but they are not key to my blogging.
